Real Pen, Real Ink: How Robot Handwriting Works
When we say 'handwritten,' we mean it literally. Not printed in a handwriting font. Not laser-etched to look like pen strokes. A real robot arm holds a real pen and writes on real paper with real ink. Here's how.
The technology
We partner with Handwrite.io, whose proprietary robots use real ballpoint pens to write on premium A6 (4x6 inch) stationery. The robot arm mimics human handwriting patterns -- including natural variations in pressure, spacing, and letter formation -- making the result indistinguishable from a human-written note.
Why not just print it?
Printed text -- even in a handwriting font -- lacks the subtle imperfections that make handwriting feel human. Real pen on paper creates variations in ink density, slight wobbles in letterforms, and natural spacing irregularities that your brain unconsciously recognizes as authentic. Studies show recipients can't distinguish robot handwriting from human handwriting.
